Kforce is seeking a full-time Cisco WAN Engineer and Linux System Administrator to help manage production data center and provide as-needed support to clients. Work with the infrastructure team to design, deploy, manage and maintain high-performance distributed LAN/WAN computing environment consisting of Cisco Routers/Switches, Linux, OSPF, BGP, RIP, multi-cast, LAN/WAN, T1, T3, Metro Ethernet, SONET, and Shell scripting.

Our client is seeking an Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience in Network Engineering and Systems Administration. In-depth knowledge of Cisco routers and switches and in-depth knowledge of the Linux Operating System is required. Knowledge of data center equipment including UPS, environmental monitoring, and physical security is necessary. Knowledge of WAN connections including T1, T3, Metro Ethernet, and SONET is required. Experience with Shell scripting or programming languages, experience with documentation and asset tracking for large numbers of systems and equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot a wide array of system, networking, and hardware problems are necessary requirements. Other Qualifications:

• Experience with system back-up, email systems, and directory services
• Experience with wiring and computer rack equipment including Cat5 and fiber optics
• Knowledge of routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, RIP, and multi-cast
• Must be detail oriented and have strong ability to multi-task
